We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems & Network Manager with a strong background in technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will plan, manage, and maintain network-related systems to ensure organizational efficiency, security, and scalability. This position is onsite 5 days/week in Flushing Queens.
Responsibilities will include:
- Design, monitor, and maintain network systems (Cisco networking, firewalls, routers, UCS, and switches).
- Manage and optimize servers, including Windows, Linux, and VMware environments.
- Ensure network security through access controls, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and server issues to maintain system uptime.
- Oversee IT inventory, hardware/software upgrades, and vendor relationships to ensure SLA compliance.
- Administer Microsoft Exchange 365 and manage security system technologies.
- Plan, implement, and monitor cybersecurity strategies to protect company assets.
- Collaborate across departments to execute IT projects and optimize systems.
- Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and lead investigative efforts on potential breaches.
- Analyze performance metrics to optimize IT processes and infrastructure.
Qualified applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of technical experience in Cisco networking, Windows Server, VMware, and Active Directory.
- Proven experience managing IT security systems, including firewalls and facility security technologies.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in collaborating with vendors and managing IT operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
